It’s a very good friend’s birthday this weekend (Happy birthday, yo!), so I felt like this one would be an appropriate piece to post today.
This was also from The Great Retrowave Experiement of 2017, and was, in fact one of the first ones I made where I was happy with the results. It’s a little plain when compared to some of the other things I’ve made since, but we’ve all gotta start somewhere, right?
It’s been almost four years since I made this, but if I recall correctly, the space photo is from NASA, and everything else is all basic shapes and layer effects created in Adobe Photoshop. The grid was made using the perspective tool. I’m like 99% sure the “Party!” font (Speed) came from dafont. “Birthday” is just Helvetica Bold with chrome effects.
