I was gonna hold this off until next Friday, until I realized today was the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech, and what better way to honor that than to celebrate an interracial friendship?
This is from, I wanna say 2005? It’s Dariaan Nighthawk from Hawk & Croc, along with my buddy Dané’s character, Dane Shobinaki. Not 100% sure why I drew this at the time (probably cuz Dané and I have been pals for over 20 years, and still talk at least a couple times a week), but I’ve managed to keep it for all this time.
And friendship is always worth celebrating, no matter the day.
