Biff J. Rockenheimen started life as a character I’d create in wrestling video games, using the Create-A-Wrestler function. He started in 1998’s WWF War Zone on the Sony Playstation, continued on to the following year’s WWF Attitude, and then WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64.
When Brandon A. Mayo and I decided to throw back to the heroes’ high school years in our webcomic, Hawk and Croc, we introduced Biff as a new friend and classmate. Later, we returned to the present time and thought it would be a good idea to check in on what Biff had been up to since their high school years:
In 2010, I liked that last image of Biff holding the belt, but I definitely wanted to do something bigger and cleaner. Hence, the new image at the top of today’s post.
My other character, Biff Jerky, was named AFTER Biff J. Rockenheimen. I later decided that the J. in Mr. Rockenheimen’s name stood for “Jeremiah,” and “Biff” was short for “Biffolomew.”
So, yeah. His full name is Biffolomew Jeremiah Rockenheimen. Because, holy cow, is that name fun to say.
