“Boss,” of course, is Bossanova Managerston, Hawk & Jacky’s manager at Big Choice Video who first appeared in strip 18, and then re-appeared in strips 50, 65, 109, and 114. Boss wasn’t based on anybody in specific, we just needed a generic manager-type character for the video store.
