If you’ve explored PsychoAndy.com at all, it shouldn’t be a surprise to you that I like the 90s Capcom fighting games — Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and specifically the Marvel vs. Capcom games. Well, in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, each playable character has SIX variant colors. The reason for the multiple colors is so if two players want to use the same character, it’s easier to tell who is who on the screen. But since MvC2 has players control teams of three characters each, that means you could potentially play as the same hero six times in one match. As a result, some players find their favorite of the available colors for each character, and use that color almost exclusively.
One of the things that *I* like to do is color-coordinate my teams. One of the prominent color schemes for some of my favorite characters to use in MvC2 is blue-and-yellow. For example:
And sometime, I like to use Iron Man, so he can match that color scheme:
Since Hasbro finally released a Modular Armor Iron Man in 2021, I thought, y’know, I may as well make a custom figure of my favorite alternate Iron Man color from the game. So I did.
He’s not the EXACT shade of blue as in the game, but I’m fine with that — The metallic blue paint I have is very pretty, and I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out.
Iron Man is owned by Marvel Comics, which is currently a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Corporation.
