For a while there, I got into designing championship belts. One of my friends was running a Twitter account that took the NHL Stanley Cup Championship, and tracked it as though it was a wrestling title — If a team beat the previous season’s Stanley Cup Champion, then THEY would become the NHL Seasonal Champion! The title would reset every season, and the previous year’s Stanley Cup champion would become the new Seasonal champion, just to keep parity with actual goings-on in the National Hockey League. This was strictly a for-fun endeavor, and should not be taken seriously at all.
He hasn’t run it in years, but if you want to go back and check it out, you can head on over to twitter.com/NHLChampionship
Anyways, here’s the belt I designed for the account:
NHL, Stanely Cup, all logos and teams, and all associated concepts are owned by the National Hockey League.
