In 1986, toy company Kenner released a line of toys based on the cartoon series, “The Real Ghostbusters.” This cartoon continued the adventures of Peter Venkman, Ray Stanz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore that began in the 1984 feature film, “Ghostbusters.”
The toys were decent enough representations of the animated versions of the characters, and super fun to play with when I was a little kid, but one thing ALWAYS bothered me about them — The collars, wrists, and ankles were just the same color as the rest of the jumpsuits, and not the specific 2nd color that they were in the cartoon!
So in 2012, I went to eBay and tracked down a bunch of old Real Ghostbusters figures that I could paint into more screen-accurate representations of the characters.
I also bought extra sets of RGB figures that I’ll be putting up in the future. Stay tuned, guys and ghouls!
